- We are actively seeking qualified faculty to develop and evaluate new courses of study. We are looking for people who have both academic backgrounds as well as experience in your subject areas.
- If we are interested we will assign one of our course committee members to work with you to develop your course. You should have a graduate degree or a background of experience related to your subject. We encourage course development in nontraditional areas and we encourage experimenting with various technologies to supplement your course, such as using video as well as connecting to internet informational resources. We want you to develop a course that will be of interest to students and not just to your own interests.
- Faculty are allowed to set the price of each of their courses. Our goal is to provide quality learning opportunities at affordable costs to students so our standard price is $40 per ILU in the United States, and in most countries, but in those countries with a low gross domestic family income faculty may set prices much lower.
- Our minimum price for a one ILU course is $10 to cover the costs of using our software course platform (Yescourse.com). We have no maximum price for a course but faculty need to be aware that higher prices may directly relate to how many students they may attract.
- New faculty are required to submit a copy of their resume, college transcipts and any certifications or licenses related to their courses of study. We will keep these records on file for as long as you have courses with us.
The goal of New Independent Learning Centers is to provide high quality learning opportunities to students around the world at a very affordable cost. We believe that everyone should have the right to higher learning for personal and professional growth as well as for lifelong learning. We keep our costs low because our learning centers are without walls. We do not have buildings, football teams or parking lots. Our faculty come from many countries and we offer courses in many languages. Our Learning Centers have representatives in many countries and states that provide administrative services connecting teachers to students. We have no paper work as everything is accomplished online. Welcome to the 21st century.
